the bees are disappearing!!!

Bees are disappearing, which means fewer plants are being pollinated leading to less food for us to eat.  There are a lot of guesses as to why they are disappearing, and some of the most popular hypotheses are pesticides, herbicides, mites, and diseases.  Also, if the pesticides get in the honey then we are eating pesticides. Pesticides have deadly effects on the bees that come into contact with them. Sometimes only a single bee dies, but other times entire hives are killed by a single pesticide covered bee. For this reason it is important to support local farmers who do not use pesticides and for you not to use pesticides in your own garden. By not using pesticides you are helping to protect the continued survival of bees and naturally pollinated foods.
